Aisling Ross

Background

Dr Aisling Ross gained her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Limerick (2020) under the supervision of Dr John Mulvihill in the Bernal Biolabs. Upon completion, she took up a postdoctoral position in Professor Paul Murray’s lab investigating the role of the oncogenic virus, EBV, in diffuse large B cell lymphoma. Dr Ross has recently been awarded a Marie Curie global fellowship to continue this research, studying the role of the virus and the tumour microenvironment in progression of this cancer and potential treatment strategies. During this fellowship, she will spend two years at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI), Australia and in the third year, she will return to the Bernal Institute and Health Research Institute to re-join Professor Paul Murray’s lab.
